Bill Kleis
Mr. Kleis is one of the founding principles of InSource. He specializes in identifying, negotiating, and implementing insurance and surety programs for contractors and suppliers to the construction industry, as well as hospitals and medical centers. Kleis also serves as Director of Sales for the firm where he leads a team of insurance and risk management professionals.
Kleis, a Miami native with over thirty years of risk management experience, was owner of Thomas & Cook Insurance, a predecessor firm to InSource. Kleis earned the Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute, and the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Kleis’ high standing within the insurance industry led to his presidency of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County where he led the organization to win the Walter Bennett Award as the outstanding local insurance association in the nation. He has served on various committees of the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA) and the Florida Windstorm Underwriting Association, the predecessor to Citizen’s Property & Casualty.
Kleis is a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church where he has served in various capacities and at every opportunity has given his time as a baseball and softball coach.
